1. Who may purchase AeroMedical Insurance?
U.S. citizens and residents who are traveling outside the U.S. and outside their home country for up to one year may purchase AeroMedical. It is also available to individuals traveling from one country outside the U.S. to another country outside the U.S. (e.g. travel from Canada to India).
2. How will proof of insurance be sent to me?
Your receipt and Confirmation of Insurance will be instantly emailed to you.

5. What is the maximum Accidental Death coverage available with AeroMedical?
You can purchase the optional Add-on of $400,000 AD&D for a maximum benefit limit of up to $500,000. If you purchase Plan A and the $400,000 AD&D Add-on, you'll have a total AD&D benefit limit of $410,000. You may have to pay up front for medical care, depending on the medical facility being used. If the medical facility requires payment up front, you can submit a claim for reimbursement, less your deductible. While not a guarantee, payments for large expenses such as Emergency Medical Evacuations are typically coordinated and paid for by AIGAssist.
8. What are AeroMedical’s deductible and co-insurance limits?
There is a $50 deductible per incident. Once this is met, the insurance will pay 100% of reasonable and customary covered medical expenses, up to the maximum benefit limit selected. There is no co-insurance requirement.
9. Must I use a network of doctors or hospitals if I need care?
No, you are not restricted to a network of doctors. However, if you need assistance with finding a doctor or hospital outside the U.S., you can call the AIGAssist 24-hour Assistance Service hotline. You will receive information about the Assistance Service after you enroll.
10. Does AeroMedical Insurance cover pre-existing conditions?
Not for the Accident/Sickness medical benefit. Pre-existing Conditions are defined as, "any injury or illness which was contracted or which manifested itself, or for which treatment or medication was prescribed within three years prior to the effective date of this insurance." However, pre-existing conditions are covered under the Emergency Medical Evacuation benefit. See AeroMedical's complete list of exclusions.
